Dear [REDACTED],

Thank you for contacting me regarding the Graham-Cassidy-Heller-Johnson (GCHJ) healthcare proposal.

On September 13, 2017, Senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Bill Cassidy (R-LA), Dean Heller (R-NV), and Ron Johnson (R-WI) unveiled legislation to repeal the structure and architecture of Obamacare and replaces it with a block grant. This proposal was not considered in the Senate, and therefore will not be considered in the House. However, the status quo is still not working, I am hopeful Republicans and Democrats will start to work together on solutions to stabilize the insurance marketplace and bring more choice, innovation, and flexibility. I continue to believe that we need to have healthcare plans that can be bought across state lines, which will lead to more competition and lower premiums.

Thank you again for contacting me. It is a privilege to serve you in the Tenth District. I may also be contacted at my Sterling office at 703-404-6903, or my Washington, D.C. office at 202-225-5136.
