Dear [REDACTED],

Thank you for contacting me to share your views about the proposed changes to the structure of the Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE). I always appreciate hearing from my constituents.

I voted against this proposal during a meeting of the Republican Conference on January 2, 2016. You may be pleased to learn that on January 3, 2016, the proposal was removed from the Rules Package for the 115th Congress. The final Rules Package was passed on January 3, 2016, with my support, and did not contain any changes to OCE rules. Rest assured that as the 115th Congress gets underway, I will continue to seek bipartisan solutions for the people of Virginia’s Tenth District, and the nation at-large.

Thank you again for contacting me. It is a privilege to serve you in the Tenth District. I may also be contacted at my Sterling office at 703-404-6903, or my Washington, D.C. office at 202-225-5136.
